Effect of Heat Treatment Conditions on (Sr,Ca)FeO3-y Perovskite System
The behavior of Sr1-xCaxFe3+1-τFe4+τO3-y (where, Y=(1-τ)/2) solid solution with a composition of x=0.1, 0.2, 0.3, and 0.4 was studied under various environments such as in N2 (1 atm), air, and O2 (1 atm). It was found that the samples heat-treated in N2 contain very small amount of Fe4+ion and their 3-y values are nearly 2.5. The samples (heat-treated in air) of x=0.3 and 0.4 didn't show reversible weight changes in cooling process. Conductivities of each sample were increased in the order of (fired in N2)-(in O2)-(in air) at constant temperature. The activation energies of all the samples were in the range of 0.07∼0.45 eV depending on heating conditions.
