The preparation of fine copolymer particles of N-vinylimidazole-metal complexes with styrene by emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization was investigated, Monodisperse spherical particles were formed in low concentrations of monomers, Significant amounts of Co and Ni were introduced into the cc?polymer particles. The amounts of Co incorporated into the particles are higher than those of Ni.
