The possibility of an enzyme-immobilized membrane using invertase-entrapped polyolefin porous films such as porous polypropylene films with plasma-induced graft polymerization is discussed. Even though plasma-induced graft polymerization on the membrane surface is a very rough method, we performed it without losing the enzyme activity. This simple method will significantly aid in applications for engineering use of enzyme-immobilized membranes.
