Sub-100 nm scale polymer transfer printing process for organic photovoltaic devices
We report a sub-100 nm scale polymer transfer printing (NPTP) method that provides a low temperature, high-throughput patterning process for the fabrication of a nanopatterned bilayer organic solar cell (OSC) of poly(3-hexyltiophene) and 1-(3-methoxycabonyl)-propyl-1-phenyl-(6,6)C-61. Utilization of a UV-curable polymer stamp and a proper solvent successfully fabricated OSCs with sub-100 nm patterns by direct NPTP. We believe that the proposed NPTP process will prove very useful for nanoscale patterning in various organic devices such as OSCs, OLEDs, OTFTs, and others. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
