The sorption kinetics of copper(II) on chemically modified controlled pore glass
Chemically bonded phases on controlled pore glass substrates have been prepared by the condensation of 3-(2-aminoethylamino)propyltrimethoxysilane in anhydrous or aqueous media. Sorption of copper(II) by the chemically bonded phase was measured via potentiometry and can be described by pseudo-second-order kinetics. Rate constants and equilibrium capacities have been calculated and were found to be dependent upon preparative conditions.
