The temperature dependence of the double-layer capacity of a quasi-perfect Cd(0001) electrode in iodine-containing solutions was investigated. The data were used to evaluate several adsorption parameters as well as the entropy of double-layer formation. It was assumed chemisorption of iodine ions occurs at positive electrode charges.
