Dispersion of Fullerene in Neat Synthesized Liquid-state Oligo(p-phenyleneethynylene)s
We used Sonogashira coupling to synthesize oligo(p-phenyleneethynylene)s (OPEs) with branched alkyl side chains, which were determined to be in liquid state at ambient temperatures, and investigated their thermal and optical properties. Solvent-free OPE exhibited strong fluorescence and could be used to disperse fullerene (C-60).
