Electrodeposition of Rhodium .2. Sulfate-Solutions
The electrodeposition of Rh from acidic sulfate media has been investigated. It is shown that, although nominally identical rhodium sulfate solutions prepared from different sources of Rh(III) have different speciations, their electrochemistry is the same and also simple. Good quality Rh electroplates may be obtained from these solutions. The origin of the adverse influence of chloride ion on the quality of electroplates is discussed.
