Improved Decoupled Nonminimal State Space Model Based PID for Multivariable Processes
In this paper, a decoupled nonminimal state space model based PID is proposed. The proposed decoupling structure follows the nonzero-pole cancellations design and the subsequent PID is obtained through predictive control optimization. The consequent PID thus bears the same performance as predictive control and the same simple structure as standard PID control. The performance of the proposed PID is compared with a recent predictive optimization based PID controller based on simulation results of a typical multivariable process. The obtained results show that the proposed PID further improves performance.
