It has been reported that the current peak in the voltammogram attributed to the lifting of the charge-induced reconstruction on Au(100) undergoes a transformation evidenced by a change in its shape which is accompanied by a shift of the peak potential. The rate of this transformation depends on the duration of the charge-induced reconstruction and the value of the applied negative potential.
