Application of positron lifetime spectroscopy to the study of electrodeposited chromium layers
Positron lifetime spectroscopy was applied to study the structure of electrodeposited chromium layers. The electrochemical conditions for electroplating were varied in wide ranges. It is shown that positron lifetime spectroscopy is able to provide valuable information on the defect structure of electroplated materials : the concentrations of vacancies and vacancy clusters correlated with the applied electrochemical conditions.
