Extraction and fractionation of the hop extract using supercritical CO2
Hop oils and resins were sepd. by 2-stage extn. of Marynka hops with supercrit. CO2. The first stage of sepn. was carried out under 100-130 bar to isolate a-acids and essential oils sep. The compn. of exts. was detd. by gas and liq. chromatog. The optimum pressure of the first stage sepn. was 110 bar. Two new hop products with significantly different in hop oil contents were produced. The hop ext. with concn. of essential oils 23.6 mL/100 g was obtained. It was double than that in the corn. hop ext.
