Borage (Borago officinalis L) seed-contained glycerides were transesterified with EtOH in presence of KOH. The Et esters were added to culture of human mesenchymai stem cells from umbilical cord to study their effect on the cell-proliferation activity and morphol. The addn. of 2% resulted in a stimulation of the cells while addn. of 6% resulted In an inhibition of their proliferation and a deterioration of their morphol.
