The densification of ceramics of alpha-(FeO3)-O-2 depends on the processing parameters. The separate influences of milling, sieving, isostatic pressure and sintering atmosphere were investigated. The maximum density, with a value around 96%, was obtained in a sintering atmosphere of nitrogen.
