Characterization of Oil Reservoir System Behavior Using Parametric Models: A New Approach
Traditional methods of well test analysis are of limited applicability to well tests carried out in reservoirs. A well test analysis system with parametric models has been constructed that is based on fast numerical models, rather than the analytical (or semi-analytical) models used in traditional analysis. This article investigates the viability of applying a parametric models algorithm to drill stem test data. According to the simulation results, among all standard models, the Box-Jenkins model with 99.71% fitness can be chosen to model the behavior of the benchmark reservoir.
