Lattice BGK simulations of the double diffusive mixed convection in an enclosure with different outlet locations
This article adopts a temperature-concentration lattice Bhatnagar Gross Krook (TCLBGK) model to investigate the double diffusive mixed convection around a heated cylinder in an enclosure with different outlet locations. In this model, the distributions of velocity, temperature and concentration are derived by solving three independent LBGK equations which are combined into a coupled equation. A parametric study illustrating the influence of Lewis number Le, buoyancy ratio Br and outlet locations on the double diffusive mixed convection is performed while Richardson number RI and Prandtl number Pr are set to be 1.0 and 0.7 respectively. Results are presented in terms of isotherms, streamlines, isoconcentrations, average Nusselt and Sherwood numbers around the heated cylinder in the enclosure. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd.
