We report facile synthesis and structural study of ditryptophan-based short peptide amphiphilic (sPA) constructs, which were used to synthesize gold nanostructures, in the presence of sunlight. This process occurs concurrently with morphological transformation, followed by encapsulation of gold nanostructures to afford hybrid scaffolds of interest. (C) 2015 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
