A particulate composite system was investigated by using various fillers such as zeolite, talc, CaCO₃ particles. Various flame retardants were used to ehance the flammability as well as mechanical property at the same time in a synergistic feature. The Flammability of composite systems was thoroughly examined collectively measuring oxygen index(OI), heat release rate, ignitability, mass loss rates, etc by using Cone calorimeter. Conclusively, we could identify the combustion and extinction characteristics of flame retardants and particle reinforcements in thermoplastic composite systems.
