Microwave Assisted Solvent Extraction(MASE) of Rice Bran Oil
Conventional liquid-solid extraction procedures are laborious and solvent consuming. In comparison to conventional extraction procedures MASE has the benefits of shorten extraction time, low solvent consumption and improved extraction efficiencies. Rice bran oil contains palmitic acid, linolenic acid, linolenic acid, linoleic acid, loeic acid, stearic acid, tocopherol, squalene, etc. The oil including essential fatty acids was extracted from the domestic rice bran using MASE process, and the extracts were analyzed with GC-MSD. The extraction amount of rice bran oil was dependent upon the microwave power and irradiation time. The microwave power was induced in the range of 325 and 585W and iduced time was varied in the range of 10 and 30 minutes.
