CO2를 이용한 Poly(DOMA-St)의 합성과 PMMA와의 상용성 고찰
Synthesis of Poly(DOMA-St) by Polymer Reaction of Epoxide and Carbon Dioxide and the Miscibility behaviour of Its blends with PMMA
The aim of the study was to investigate the synthesis of a copolymer bearing cyclic carbonate and its miscibility with polymethylmethacrylate(PMMA). Poly[GMA(Glycidyl methacrylate)-St(Styrene)] was converted to poly[DOMA[2-oxo-1,3-dioxolane-4-yl) methyl methacrylate]-St(Styrene)] by the polymer reaction with carbon dioxide using tetraoctyl ammonium chloride(TOAC) as a catalyst. The miscibility behavior of various Poly(DOMA-St) with PMMA blend was studied using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC). Optical clarity test and DSC analysis showed that poly(DOMA-St) blends were miscible over the whole composition ranges with PMMA.
