First isolation and characterization of an HIN complex, CdCl2(HIN)(4) (HIN=4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazolin-1-oxyl)

We report here for the first time the X-ray crystal structure and magnetic properties of an HIN complex, CdCl2(HIN)(4), showing very strong antiferromagnetic interaction. X-ray crystal structure analysis reveals that intermolecular O...N distance (2.33 and 2.42 Angstrom) are considerably short.
