Emulsion을 이용한 LiNi0.5Co0.5O2 정극활물질의 제조 및 전기화학적 특성
Synthesis of LiNi0.5Co0.5O2 active material for a positive electrode by emulsion method and its electrochemical characteristics
LiNi0.5Co0.5O2 powder as a positive electrode material for lithium-ion batteries is systhesized by the emulsion method. LiOH·H2, Ni(CH3COO)2·4H2O and Co(CH3COO)2·4H2O aqueous solution, kerosene, and span-80 are used as aqueous phase, oil phase and emulsifying agent. Weight loss of the precursor powder occurs rapidly below 400℃ and the formation of LiNi0.5Co0.5O2 phase is starting. The heating condition for obtaining pure LiNi0.5Co0.5O2 phase is above 750℃ for 12hr. Obtained powder shows very uniformly size distribution around 10㎛, and good electrochemical characteristics.
