FAU zeolite was synthesized from coal fly ash with a 4 M NaOH solution at 70-80℃. Experimental parameters such as temperature, alkali concentration and reaction time were controlled to find out the best condition of zeolite synthesis. XRD, XRF and SEM techniques were employed to characterize the synthesized product. Also the adding effect of various salts was investigated for the economic zeolite synthesis from coal fly ash.
