Evaluation of functional properties of ash and bone-based phosphorus biofertilizers. Part 1. Impact on selected morphological attributes and the health of spring wheat
Bone and ash-based biofertilizers and an aq. suspension of ash from sewage sludge incineration were used for growing spring wheat in field expts. The test plants were studied for d. after sprouting, general and productive tillering, stem length, the no. of plant leaves, leaf dimensions, ear length, mass of grain from ear, standing corn lodging and intensity of fungal diseases. The new P-contg. biofertilizers were as active as the com. ones (superphosphate, phosphorite). The ash suspension showed also a satisfactory fertilizing effectiveness.
