Samples size and anisotropy impact on linear burning rate of solid double-base propellants
Four com. rocket propellants were studied for burning rate under 5-11 MPa in sub-scale rocket motor systems in 2 independent labs. The burning rate depended on the propellant sample anisotropy along or across the direction of the sample formation. Some differences (3-8%) in results achieved in particular labs, were obsd.
