Numerical modelling of methanol synthesis. Part 1. Process analysis in a two- and three-phase industrial system
MeOH synthesis by conversion of syngas on suspended CuO/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst was modelled to est. the process balances and kinetics and to optimize the process conditions and its energy efficiency. The Klier and Setinc-Levec kinetic models were used for numerical calcns.
