MeOH was adsorbed on bituminous coal, lignite, 4 C monoliths and a corn. activated C in a calorimetric vessel at 20-25 degrees C under 0.095 MPa to det. the wetting heats. The C monoliths bonded with poly(vinyl alc.) showed the highest wetting heats, while the bituminous coal the lowest one.
