Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Thermal Analysis of a 1D Coordination Compound Cd(SCZ)Cl-2 (SCZ=Semicarbazide)
A novel transition metal multiligand coordination compound Cd(SCZ)Cl-2 was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR spectroscopy. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that Cd(SCZ)Cl-2 crystallizes in Orthorhombic Pna2(1) space group. The thermal decomposition mechanism of Cd(SCZ)Cl-2 was studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), which revealed that the complex contained one main endothermic process and one main exothermic process between 474 K and 648 K. The nonisothermal kinetics parameters were calculated by the Kissinger's method and Ozawa-Doyle's method, respectively.
