Magnetic Vortex Nanorings: A New Class of Hyperthermia Agent for Highly Efficient In Vivo Regression of Tumors
The unique magnetic vortex structure allows ferrimagnetic vortex-domain iron oxide nanorings to possess negligible remanence and large hysteresis loss, which not only promotes colloid stability but also maximizes the specific absorption rate. It overcomes the superparamagnetic limitation and allows a new class of nanoparticle agent to be designed for high-performance thermal-based biomedical applications.
