Synthesis, Structural Characterization, and Oxidation Catalysis of a Diniobium-substituted Silicodecatungstate
A novel diniobium-substituted silicodecatungstate, [gamma-HSiW10O38Nb2(eta(2)-O-2)(2)](5-) (I), was successfully synthesized by the reaction of [HNb6O19](7-) and [gamma-SiW10O36](8-) in the presence of H2O2 under acidic conditions. In the presence of a suitable proton source, e.g., HClO4, I could act as a stable homogeneous catalyst for H2O2-based oxidation.
