A Ruffle Titania Photoanode for Solar Water Oxidation Workable under Mild Conditions
A rutile TiO2 powder coated on a conductive glass by a simple squeegee method, functions as a water-oxidation photoanode in a neutral aqueous solution (hH 5.9) even at <0V(RHE). Under AM1.5G irradiation with an applied potential greater than +0.6 V vs. a Pt cathode, stoichiometric H-2/O-2 evolution was achieved, with nearly 100% Faradaic efficiency.
