The mixed ionic dyes anionic Color Index (Cl) Reactive Blue 19 and cationic Cl Basic Red 14 in aqueous solution were removed and separated by solvent extraction using reverse micellar systems. The results obtained by ultraviolet visible spectra indicated that the dyes could be removed totally for the attractive force between dyes and counter-ionic surfactant. The recovered dyes were reused for dyeing fibers, which exhibited good dyeing property.
