Designing Antigenic Peptides with Dual Binding Affinities for HSP70 and MHC
We report herein a protein engineering design to improve the affinity of antigenic peptides for heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) without compromising affinity for major histocompatibility complex (MHC) based on crystalline structures of substrate binding site of MHC and of HSP; these engineering strategies can unlock the possibility of designing antigen delivery systems using HSP70 protein molecules as carriers.
