Catalytic Oxidation of 1,2-Dichlorobenzene on V2O5-WO3/TiO2 Films: Effects of Ozone Addition and UV Irradiation
Low-temperature catalytic oxidation of gaseous 1,2-dichlorobenzene (1,2-DCBz) on V2O5-WO3/TiO2 films was investigated in the presence and absence of ozone and UV irradiation. This paper describes a rapid (1.8 s), low-ozone consuming (190 ppm), and efficient (99.9%) catalytic degradation of 1,2-DCBz at a relatively low temperature (160 degrees C). The possible underlying mechanisms are also discussed.
