A well-defined seven-arm star macromolecular antioxidant (beta-CD-(DBHCA)(7)) was synthesized to improve competitive thermal oxidative stabilization to natural rubber. TGA indicated that beta-CD-(DBHCA)(7) possessed good thermal stability. Accelerated thermal aging and methanol extraction test revealed that beta-CD-(DBHCA)(7) could provide long-term thermal oxidative stabilization for natural rubber (NR) and retain high stability against migration.
