Synchronized Self-assembly of a Fullerene Derivative Passing through a Programmable Microflow Field
To date, little attention has been paid to the positive control of the self-assemble process itself. Rapid activation and synchronous growth of PCBM, a kind of fullerene derivative, in a precisely controlled flow field led to the creation of various micrometer-sized sheet structures. Unlike the conventional vial mixing process, microflow always provides a reproducible chemical environment at the molecular level, overcoming the general difficulty in kinetically controlled self-assembly.
