Unique Carrier Properties of Neutral Lanthanide Complex for Inorganic Anions
Lipophilic lanthanide tris(fluorinated P-diketonates) exhibited interesting carrier properties for inorganic anions. Negative FABMS and C-13 NMR studies revealed that they bound small Cl- anion with a large hydration energy more strongly than large Br- and I- anions with small hydration energies. The direct anion coordination features of lanthanide complexes offered unique carrier properties for inorganic anions in liquid membrane transport.
