Electrochemical and spectroscopic characterization of zinc (II) complex with Bis(tetraethylthiophosphoramidoyl)methylamine
A new complex Zn(II) with Bis(tetraethylthiophosphoramidoyl)methylamine is presented. The studies reveal that the Bis(tetraethylthiophosphoramidoyl)methylamine is able to bind the cation Zn2+ forming a high stable complex. The electrochemical and spectroscopic properties underwent a considerable change upon zinc complexation. A great anodic potential shift in the oxidation peak of the ligand was observed during the zinc chelation process confirming the high stability and the strong interaction between Zn (II) and sulphur atoms presented in the ligand.
