Asymmetric climate policy in the European Union results in "C leakage" based on a transfer of industrial prodn. outside the region. A significant risk of C leakage under Polish conditions within the 2030 climate policy framework (including economic impact) was evidenced. A need for compensation mechanisms applied to industries exposed to the risk was shown.
