Controllable Synthesis of Homogeneous Mesoporous Alumina by Reaction Crystallization
Homogeneous mesoporous alumina (HMA) was synthesized by reaction-crystallization from supersaturated sodium aluminate solution and sodium bicarbonate solution, using methyl cellulose as a template. The novel HMA material showed properties of mesoporous alumina and sandy alumina. Effects of synthesis conditions on the structure and characteristics of the HMA material were investigated. The mechanism of the synthesis process for HMA material was revealed.
