A Ferromagnetic Salicylaldoximate/Azide (Mn2Mn6III)-Mn-II Cluster with an S=17 Ground State and a Single-Molecule-Magnet Response
One new (Mn2Mn6III)-Mn-II duster exhibiting an S = 17 spin ground state and single-molecule-magnet properties has been designed linking Mn-3(III)-salicylaldoximate triangles and tetracoordinated Mn-II cations by means of end-on azido bridges. The ferromagnetic coupling has been rationalized as a function of their structural parameters.
