Disproportionation of Triethoxysilane over Anion Exchange Resins
Triethoxysilane disproportionation was carried out over anion exchange resins in quantitative conversion under mild conditions (40-55 A degrees C). Using solvent, the reaction afforded only tetraethoxysilane (75 %) and monosilane (25 %) as products, in a reaction time of 3 h. The reaction under solvent-free conditions resulted in 100 % conversion after 2 h at a reduced temperature of 40 A degrees C. [GRAPHICS]
