A pump-aided reverse-dump-flood technique for carbonate reservoirs
The full-length paper presents a case study of a pilot waterflood project in three carbonate reservoirs in the remote Onbysk oil field. Use of a pump-aided reverse-dump-flood technique reduced setup time and capital investment by a factor of approximately five compared with conventional pilot-waterflood operations. Waterflooding is expected to yield an oil recovery factor of approximately 22% in the Kit carbonate reservoir.
