Gypsum from flue gas desulfurization plants was blended with cement by-pass dust (5-15% by mass) and compacted to saddle-shaped briquettes (vol. 4 cm(3) and 6.5 cm(3)) in smooth forming rolls under varying moisture content in the blend. The briquettes met the strength requirements after storage for 168 h.
