The prediction that a charge-transfer spectrum could exhibit oscillations in the intensity has recently been confirmed experimentally. The previously introduced model of a harmonic oscillator whose frequency relaxes in time is therefore extended to include also a relaxation in position. This leads to an oscillating Huang-Rhys factor.
