Draft beer has always had a special aura on the consumers and is often considered better than bottled beer. Much of this is due to the prevailing technical standards and possibilities. The article describes and analyzes developments in the dispensing technology from the classic tap to modern dispensing systems. It covers the most important technical inventions regarding materials, physics, hygiene, safety requirements, etc. The knowledge of the procedural operations is often the way for a solution, which can, among other things, be found in the opposition to the history of the 7-minute Pils.
