A New Experimental-Method of the Surface-Tension Angle Derivative (Stad) Determination
Angle derivatives of the surface tension for the equilibrium crystal plane are obtained from the condition of thermodynamic equilibrium on the three phase boundary. The new experimental method of the surface tension angle derivative determination is demonstrated on KCl monocrystal taken as a model. The found absolute value of STAD for a plane (100) in saturated water solution is equal to 3 mJ/(m(2) x grad).
