Ionic liquids as an effective and eco-friendly medium for synthesis of nitrosubstituted norbornene analogs
Six nitroalkenes were synthesized in reaction of substitued benzaldehydes with NO2CH2\CN and converted to resp. norbornenes in Diels-Alder reaction with cyclopentadiene in ionic lig. The products showed mainly the endo-nitro configuration.
