Use of the bubbling bed model for designing a process for fluidized bed drying
SiO2 gel, sand, fodder phosphate and (NH4)(2)SO4, grains as well as poppy and wheat seeds were dried in fluidized bed at 315-350 K and air flow rate 0.1-1.8 m/s to derive a generalized drying curve and limit the no. of expts. necessary to reduce the energy consumption. A math. model of the process was developed and validated.
