Thermodynamic parameters and reductive degradation mechanism of environmentally relevant polyhalogenated organic compounds
A summary of authors' research on polyhalogenated aromatic and aliphatic compounds, leading to a conclusion that only a combination of experimental and quantum chemical studies allows elucidation of the reaction mechanism and the determination of redox potentials of dehalogenation processes.
